The Eclective Collage Collective was founded in 2015 by Sara Cowling here in London, Ontario. Sarah has brought together a local group of artists to learn, practice and inspire one another in the medium of collage. Collage is a form of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric, and other ephemera are arranged and adhered to a supporting surface. This technique results in the creation of an assembly of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
Our collective has 20 members from London and the surrounding area. Getting together once a month to share our collage challenges. The study of a renowned collage artist’s work to develop our understanding of the artform and learn new techniques through member led demonstrations and instruction. We are an inspiring group of artists who enjoy creating together to share in our mutual interest in the collage artform. We are now celebrating our 10 year anniversary and mark this occasion with our Eclectic Collage Collective art show at the Market at Western Fair District, in the heart of Old East Village, London, Ontario. Show runs July 1 to July 20.
